The 20th anniversary of ITEXPO was wonderful! The three-day trade show was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from January 30th to February 1st. ITEXPO is where telecom and IT professionals, business owners, developers and other companies in the IT industry come together to network, learn and participate in information sessions. This year, there were many presentations and over 150 booths on the expo floor.
ITEXPO was the perfect kick-off event for IT trade shows in 2019. Couldn’t make it this year? Not to worry! Keep reading to hear our recap of ITEXPO 2019.
Q: Has Bicom Systems attend ITEXPO before?
A: Yes! We have been attending this event for the last four years.
Q: As a repeating attender, how was this year’s show different from in the past?
A: This year was ITEXPO’s 20th anniversary. The crowd was bigger and there were more exhibitors. Although it was mixed with SD-WAN Expo, MSP Expo, and a Blockchain event, it was clear there were more exhibitors this year at ITEXPO alone.
Q: What did Bicom Systems do at ITEXPO?
A: As in previous years, we had our own booth and showcased our new features and latest products. The attendees had a chance to meet our team and learn more about us as a company. We also offered quieter, one-on-one sessions with our Account Managers.
As an exhibitor, we had the ability to participate in educational sessions, network with other companies, speak to potential customers and listen to over 100 speakers. Bicom Systems also had their own 45-minute speaking slot on January 30th.
Q: Did Bicom Systems have a speaking slot this year?
A: Yes! One of our account managers, Saulio Reyes hosted an information session on Day 2 of the conference. We presented in the CVx Theatre and talked about topics on ‘How to Grow your Telecommunications Company’ and ‘How to Sell VoIP’.
Q: If other businesses and customers were to ask if ITEXPO was worth attending, what would your advice be?
A: Yes. It is a good place for ITSPs to meet service related providers like carriers, phones, and other equipment and regulatory services providers. ITEXPO is the first show of the year and gives you a sense of where the market is going. It is a great opportunity to meet potential leads and people efficiently.
Q: What was your main takeaway?
A: The show seems to be reawakening. There are many new vendors that are related directly or indirectly to the industry. I think that played a big part in the volume and quality of attendees.
Q: Who attends ITEXPO?
A: ITSPs, related companies, carriers, phone distributors and manufacturers, etc. This year we saw a huge rebound of MSPs attending.
