We’re back! Today we are sharing part three of our ‘How our Hosted Solutions Can Support Telecom Industry Verticals like…’ blog series. If you are just joining us, check out part one and part two of this series on our blog.
As you can tell from the title, today we are talking about how our hosted solutions support the government industry.
Not all government employees work in offices. A government employee may be a first responder, law enforcer, healthcare provider, public educator etc. This is why it is extremely important for government employees to have reliable and confidential communications. They must be able to communicate with co-workers, important officials, and the general public without concern or uncertainty.
Confidentiality
A lot of important, government information tends to be delivered on a ‘need to know’ basis. That is why it is really important that government documents are not released to the general public. Bicom Systems gloCOM allows users to send and receive confidential documents without fear. Employees can chat on gloCOM with confidence that their conversations are private.
gloCOM’s mobile application, gloCOM GO, allows users to make and receive calls from their personal mobile devices with their office Caller ID. Or users have the option to block their Caller ID when placing a call. This ensures that private government numbers are not released to the public.
Reliability
If you are chatting with your friend and the call drops, it usually isn’t a big deal. But if you are a first responder, a dropped call could mean a lost life. Firefighters, police officers or disaster recovery employees need to be able to communicate. Opus Codec is a feature found in Bicom Systems PBXware and gloCOM. This feature optimizes the audio codec with the given bandwidth to provide the best call experience possible with the resources available. Opus Codec will automatically adjust based on the network, service range and other factors that are affecting your connection. First responders can rely on this feature while on important calls.
Convenience
As mentioned earlier, not all government employees work out of an office. For example, some law enforcement officers work out of their cruisers. Unified communications applications are extremely helpful for them because they can screen share, video chat, instant message and so much more right from the laptop in their car. The officer will have all the tools needed on one interface and can collaborate with other officers from a remote location.
Security
We have been seeing it more often than not; even the tightest of securities are being hacked into. The government has information on almost everything and everyone! Security should be their number one priority in every aspect. Bicom Systems hosted servers are monitored 24/7, 365 days a year. We have five different monitoring centers worldwide and receive notifications on any detections. We offer two solutions, sipMON, and sipPROT. sipPROT is a module that protects against SIP attacks and sipMON constantly monitors the SIP packets that are being received. The pair protect and ensure the quality of calls that are being placed and received.
Governments have enough on their plates without having to deal with a communications system. Bicom Systems has worked with governments in several nations, developing customized communication solutions all around the world. They are sophisticated yet so simple on the surface that they work seamlessly.
